FEDOR SAPEGIN
YGGDRASIL WHITE
Dear Visitor!
Thanks for checking in. This page should answer most basic questions about our project- and (should you feel generous) provide a link to support the work.

What are we Building ?
Ygrdasil White- (featured at the FOMA festival as a white figurative sculpture) is meant to be one of several installations forming a new, private museum. Inspired by Norse Mythology and Stone Age artwork, our goal is to answer the following questions. How did our ancestors view and explain the universe? What did they see when they stared into the sky?
Who is building it?
This project came to me in a vision ten years ago. Every piece of it. From the entry gate to the final video mapping installations. I am building it one brick at a time with my wife and partner Kristina Klufterud producing. We are, however, more than happy to get help from artists, professionals or nerds like myself: and intend to rely entirely on human craft, without any use of artificial intelligence.
Why?
The word museum originates from Muse: a divine inspirational companion of the Ancient Greeks. In fact- museums were originally meant as just that: a place to get inspired, to see or contribute to something new. I want this project to be an experience we can share with a date or our kids. To sit under the shade of a magical tree and hear ancient stones whispering the stories of a long forgotten universe.
When?… Where?
Obviously this is a gargantuan undertaking. But with a little luck and help from You- we can get a little closer. If you enjoy the sculpture and feel generous- please vipps me a coffee or a beer with the following VIPPS link.

And if by some strange luck you feel like supporting us in other ways- don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thanks and have a smashing summer!
